: Patient Groups

- Objectives:
- An object representing a group of patients having some common
attributes and providing an easy way to retrieve such a group and to
show a list.
- Approaches:
- Typical groups:
- Critical patients needing continuous attention:
- For example the patients currently in the emergency entrance
of a hospital.
- Current session history:
- Incoming notifications:
- Patients records having received some new information. If
the user did receive a notification asking to pay attention to
this new information, the list contain links to new information
he should have a look at.
- Remark: messages received without obvious reliable
identification are directed to a kind of waiting mailbox.
- Admitted patients from diverse points of view:
- Doctors having several patient in different wards.
- Nurses in charge of a ward.
- Patients needing some kind of follow up:
- Waiting for answers to requested information, like lab,
images, ...
- Patients having today an appointement in the agenda of the
user.
- Reminders about TODO activities:
- Next vaccination,
- Planned preventive check-ups.
- ....
- Follow-up of patients having a given condition, e.g.
diabetes.
- Patients having an administration problem:

- Content of the list:
- List description:
- For every patient inside the list:
- At least the patient identification in one line.
- Optional view on more information:
- Short summary of the current situation. Typically in an
emergency department a doctor has to follow several
patients at the same time, e.g. during the XRays of one
patient moving to the next one.
- Current main problem
- Current ongoing activities, what is one waiting for
and since how long.
- Current location of the patient,
- In case of notifications, links to the new
information to be looked at.
- ....
- Clicking on an element of the list provide a zoom to more
detailed information.
